Heating, reacting, drying & cooling

The control over product properties can be broadened by supplementing the Eirich mixing technology with task-specific peripheral drying equipment. This is achieved with innovative Eirich technology:

  • Laboratory technology (including Ex-proof) for contact drying under atmospheric pressure and vacuum contact drying
  • Vacuum hot vapor dying in EvacTherm® mixers operating in closed circuit mode with integrated evaporation cooling
  • Drying of aqueous material systems with hot air or flue gases
  • Emission-free drying (Ex-proof also available)

Benefits of Eirich's drying technology

  • Any consistency can be processed without problems – no need for pre-conditioning
  • No material build-up on heated walls or installed parts
  • Granulates with the highest densities/powder densities
  • Seals are not in direct contact with the product
  • Easy change of formulas with short start-up and stop times
  • Moisture and product quality adjustable over a wide range -
    from powdery to granular

Eirich can offer special expertise in the following areas

  • Grinding disk compounds
  • Modern high-performance oxide ceramic materials
  • Nanoceramic materials
  • Pesticides
  • Friction lining compounds (clutches, brakes)
  • Isostatic refractory compounds
  • Cellulose derivates
  • Aqueous or solvent-based pastes, suspensions, slurries
  • Metalliferous sludges
  • Lacquer/paint sludges

Vacuum mixers

Eirich intensive mixers can be designed to allow operation under vacuum. The vacuum mixer series incorporates all the advantages of the intensive mixer but enables additional process technological steps to be performed in one machine.

  • Deaeration
  • Drying
  • Cooling or
  • Heat removal from exothermal reactions

The vacuum technology is suitable for:

  • Molding sand
  • Lead paste compounds for batteries
  • High-density granulates
  • Aqueous slurries or slurries containing solvents
  • Metalliferous sludges
  • Friction linings

Vacuum mixers are available with capacity ranging from 1 to 7,000 liters.

EvacTherm

A system for thermal and reactive processes which has been very successful at a global level.

EvacMix

A system for processes in which deaeration is used to achieve compounds with a particularly high density.
